Learn how to pay electricity bills on RukkyHub, purchase electricity tokens for supported distribution companies, and resolve common payment issues.
RukkyHub makes it easy to pay electricity bills for supported electricity distribution companies. Whether you are paying for your own meter or someone else's, you can complete your payment securely from your account.
Before making a payment, ensure that you have:
Log in to your RukkyHub account and open your dashboard.
Navigate to VTU Services and select Electricity .
Choose the electricity provider that services your location from the list of available providers.
Select whether your meter is:
Carefully enter your electricity meter number.
Double check the number before continuing, as incorrect information may delay processing.
Enter the amount you wish to pay.
Any applicable minimum or maximum payment limits will be displayed during checkout.
Before confirming your payment, verify:
Submit your payment request.
Most electricity payments are processed automatically. For prepaid meters, your electricity token will be generated after successful processing where applicable.
If you are paying for a prepaid meter, your generated token will normally appear in your transaction details after successful processing.
Keep your token in a safe place until it has been successfully entered into your electricity meter.
If your payment remains pending:
Can I pay someone else's electricity bill?
Yes. Simply enter the correct meter number and select the appropriate electricity provider before completing your payment.
Where can I find my electricity token?
For prepaid meter payments, your token will normally be available within your transaction details after successful processing.
Can I reverse an electricity payment?
Successfully processed electricity payments generally cannot be reversed. Always verify your meter information before confirming payment.
If your electricity payment has not been completed or you have not received your prepaid token after the normal processing period, contact the RukkyHub Support Team with your transaction reference number, meter number, and electricity provider so the issue can be investigated.
